Party Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. lime or lemon-lime jello
    1/2 c. cottage cheese
    1/4 c. maraschino cherries
    1 c. boiling water
    1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple
    1 c. whipped cream (Cool Whip)
    1/4 c. blanched almonds
Preparation
    Dissolve jello in boiling water.
    Drain pineapple and reserve 1/2 cup of syrup; add reserved syrup to jello.
    Chill until it starts to set.
    Fold in rest of ingredients.
    Chill until firm in 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
