Saucy Franks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/4 c. water
    1/4 c. relish
    1 Tbsp. Crisco
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 (14 oz.) bottle ketchup
    1 pkg. hot dogs
Preparation
    Combine Crisco and onion in a skillet; cook until tender.
    Add all remaining ingredients, except hot dogs, and stir.
    Add hot dogs; simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.
    Serve on buns.
