Dutch Cole Slaw - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 large head cabbage, thinly sliced
2 medium onions, sliced
1 bell pepper, sliced
1 c. sugar
1 c. vinegar
1 c. vegetable oil
2 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. celery seed
1 tsp. dry mustard
Preparation

Put cabbage, onions and bell pepper in large bowl.
Sprinkle with sugar and toss well.
Place remaining ingredients in saucepan and bring to a boil.
Pour over cabbage mixture.
Refrigerate in airtight container.
Slaw may be kept for several weeks and improves with age.
Makes 3 quarts.
