Penuche Fudge - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. melted butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. packed brown sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. sour cream
1 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation

Combine butter, sugars, salt and sour cream in saucepan. Simmer until sugar is melted, then cover and cook for 5 minutes over medium heat.
Remove cover and cook to soft ball stage (234\u00b0 to 240\u00b0 on candy thermometer).
Do not stir.
Set pan in cold water until mixture cools to lukewarm.
Stir in nuts and vanilla. Spread in greased 9-inch square baking pan.
Cool and cut into pieces.
