10 Layer Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce, chopped
    1 c. celery, chopped
    1/2 to 1 c. diced green peppers
    1 c. onion rings
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas, uncooked
    1 pt. mayonnaise
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    6 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese
    bacon bits
Preparation
    Layer in large oblong container in order listed.
    Refrigerate 8 to 10 hours, covered.
