Pea Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

5 c. frozen peas (two 16 oz. bags)
1 (8 oz.) sliced water chestnuts, drained
1 c. Chinese pea pods, stems and strings removed
1/2 c. chopped red onion (1 small or 1/2 medium)
1/4 c. mayonnaise
1/4 c. sour cream
1/8 tsp. white pepper
1/2 lb. cooked bacon, crumbled
1/8 tsp. salt
Chinese pea pods and tomato wedges for garnish
Preparation

Toss together peas, water chestnuts, 1 cup Chinese pea pods and red onion.
Set aside.
Combine mayonnaise, sour cream, pepper and salt.
Gently combine this with vegetables.
Chill.
Before serving, fold in crumbled bacon.
Garnish with extra pea pods and tomato wedges.
