Boiled Raisin Spice Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. raisins
    water
    flour
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. soda
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. baking powder
    about 1/2 c. nuts, chopped
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cover raisins with water and simmer 20 minutes.
    Drain, saving liquid.
    Add enough cold water to make 1 cup.
    Coat raisins with flour to keep them from sinking to the bottom of cake.
