Fried Green Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 firm, medium, green tomatoes
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/2 c. white cornmeal
    1/4 c. oil
Preparation
    Cut tomatoes in 1/4-inch slices.
    Sprinkle with salt and pepper and dredge in cornmeal.
    Heat oil in heavy skillet and fry tomatoes over medium heat until browned, turning once.
