1/2 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. granulated sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
3 c. rolled oats
1/2 lb. salted Spanish peanuts
Preparation

Mix
all ingredients.
Drop on ungreased cookie sheets; flatten as you drop.
Bake for 7 to 10 minutes at 424\u00b0.
