Presbyterian Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 whole chicken
    4 c. cubed bread
    1 Tbsp. sage
    1 Tbsp. thyme
    1/2 tsp. white pepper
    1 tsp. salt
    butter
    2 stalks celery
Preparation
    Cover chicken with water.
    Add salt and celery stalks; cook until chicken is tender.
    Season bread with sage, thyme and pepper.
    Layer chicken, cut into small pieces, with the seasoned bread cubes in a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch casserole.
    Dot with butter; pour broth from chicken (strained and celery removed) over the casserole.
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
