Quick Peach Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 1/2 c. sliced fresh peaches
    1 c. self-rising flour
    1 egg
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Place peaches in lightly greased 8-inch square baking dish. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup sugar.
    Cream together remaining 1/2 cup sugar and butter, mixing well.
    Add flour and egg, mixing well. Stir in vanilla.
    Spoon mixture over peaches.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes or until golden brown.
