Fresh Strawberry Or Peach Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. sugar
    4 Tbsp. cornstarch (for peach)
    5 to 6 Tbsp. cornstarch (for strawberry)
    dash of salt
    1 c. boiling water and 2 Tbsp. water
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    red or yellow food coloring
    6 to 8 sliced peaches or 1 1/2 pt. fresh strawberries
    1 baked pie shell
Preparation
    Mix sugar, cornstarch and salt with 2 tablespoon water in a paste.
    Pour 1 cup boiling water over; cook slowly, stirring constantly until thick.
    Remove from heat; add lemon juice and food coloring.
    Cool; add fruit (sliced) and put into baked shell. Chill.
    An hour or so before serving, cover with whipped cream.
