Rhubarb Apple Mold - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. diced rhubarb
    1 Tbsp. water
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry jello
    2 c. boiling water
    2 apples, peeled and diced
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
    lettuce
Preparation
    Bring rhubarb, water and sugar to boil in small saucepan. Simmer several minutes or until rhubarb is soft.
    Dissolve jello in boiling water.
    Add rhubarb and cool until syrupy.
    Stir in apples and nuts.
    Spoon into 2-quart mold.
    Chill until firm. Turn out onto lettuce-lined plate.
    Serve with mayonnaise or sour cream.
