Layered Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. lettuce, shredded
    2 small onions, sliced
    1 c. celery, sliced
    1 can water chestnuts
    1/2 green pepper, chopped
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas, cooked
    1 1/2 c. mayonnaise
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. shredded Swiss cheese
    8 slices bacon, fried and crumbled
Preparation
    Use a 9 x 13-inch Pyrex dish for layering salad.
    Layer as listed.
    Cover with Saran Wrap and refrigerate for 8 hours.
