Lime Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 lb. cucumbers
    2 c. lime
    8 c. sugar
    8 c. vinegar
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 to 2 Tbsp. pickling spice tied in cloth
Preparation
    Combine cucumbers and lime; cover with water all day or night. Rinse the lime from cucumbers and soak in ice water 3 hours; drain. Mix sugar, vinegar, salt and spices and pour over cucumbers; let stand overnight.
    Cook over medium heat and bring to boil; boil 35 minutes and put into jars.
    Makes 7 quarts.
