Creamy Broccoli Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 large potatoes
    3/4 medium onion
    1 large bunch broccoli
    3 carrots
    4 Tbsp. butter
    4 Tbsp. flour
    4 c. milk
    1/4 lb. Velveeta cheese, cubed
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Dice onion, potatoes, carrots and broccoli stems into small pieces.
    Cook until almost tender; add tops of broccoli.
    Cook until tender.
    Drain and set aside.
    Melt butter; stir in flour, whisking constantly for a couple of minutes.
    Gradually add milk, stirring constantly.
    Drop in cubes of cheese, stirring until melted.
    Continue stirring until bubbly and thickened.
    Add vegetables; cover and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.
