Rice Casserole #1 - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. rice, uncooked
    1 c. water
    1 (10 oz.) can beef consomme
    1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms, drained
    1/4 c. (1/2 stick) butter
    1 bell pepper, chopped
    2 oz. jar chopped pimentos
    1 onion, diced
    1 tsp. salt
    sliced almonds (optional)
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Mix ingredients together in a 9 x 12-inch greased baking dish.
    Cover and bake for 1 hour.
    Serves 6 to 8.
    Freezes well.
