Pear Honey(From The Files Of Ola Dortch Williams) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. ground pears (about 9 c. chopped)
    1 c. canned crushed pineapple
    grated rind and juice of 1 lemon (or 3 tsp. bottled juice)
    5 c. sugar
Preparation
    Wash, peel and core fruit.
    Put pears through a food chopper using coarse blade.
    Mix all ingredients and heat, stirring thoroughly until sugar is dissolved.
    Boil mixture until it is thick and clear, about 10 minutes.
    Pour into hot sterilized jars and seal.
    Process in boiling water bath for 10 minutes.
