Onion Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. onion, finely chopped
    1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour, sifted
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1/4 c. shortening
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    1/2 c. milk
Preparation
    Cook onion in hot fat until just tender.
    Sift together flour, baking powder and salt; stir in celery seed.
    Cut in shortening until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
    Stir in onion.
    Combine egg and milk; add all at once to flour mixture and stir just until dough follows fork around bowl.
