Gingerbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 2/3 c. all-purpose flour (white or whole wheat pastry)
    1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
    3/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 egg, lightly beaten
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1/2 c. molasses
    1/2 c. boiling water
    1/2 c. vegetable oil
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease and flour a 9-inch square pan. Sift dry ingredients together into a mixing bowl.
    Add egg, sugar, and molasses; mix well.
    Pour boiling water and oil over mixture. Stir thoroughly until smooth.
    Pour batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes.
    While the gingerbread is still hot, pour lemon glaze (3 tablespoons lemon juice plus enough confectioners sugar to make a pourable glaze) over top.
