Spanish Rice - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. ground beef
1/3 c. shortening
1 minced onion
1 c. dried celery
1 c. rice, washed and dried
3 1/2 c. tomatoes and juice
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 chopped green pepper
2 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
Preparation

Melt the shortening in a heavy skillet.
Brown the onion and garlic.
Add meat and brown.
Add the green pepper, celery, tomatoes and seasonings.
Cover and cook until steaming at high heat.
Stir the mixture and sprinkle rice over the top. Do not stir after adding rice.
