Ingredients

1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
2 Tbsp. corn syrup
5 tart apples, peeled and sliced
5 eggs
1 1/2 c. milk (can use skim milk)
1 tsp. vanilla
1 loaf French bread, cut in 3/4-inch slices
Preparation

Cook the sugar, butter and syrup until syrupy.
Pour into a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
Spread apple slices over the syrup.
Place bread on top of apples.
Whisk together the remaining ingredients and pour over bread.
Cover and refrigerate overnight.
Bake, uncovered, for 40 minutes at 350\u00b0.
Cut into squares and serve with spicy apple syrup.
Serves 9. Great for brunch.
