Crispy Texas Onion Rings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 large onions
    2 c. milk
    1 egg, beaten
    1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1 c. flour
    1/2 c. cornmeal
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    oil (for deep frying)
Preparation
    Slice onions and separate into rings.
    Soak rings in milk for 30 minutes.
    Drain.
    Combine milk, egg and oil.
    Mix well.
    Stir in dry ingredients.
    Dip rings into batter and fry in hot deep oil until golden brown.
