Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. margarine
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 3/4 c. flour
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Beat in eggs and vanilla. Gradually blend in dry ingredients.
    Chill 3 hours.
    Roll out and cut cookies on a floured surface; thick if you like soft cookies, thin if you like crisp cookies.
    Sprinkle sugar on top if you like.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
    These are great for decorating with \"decorator icing\".
