Orange Almond Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 heads Romaine lettuce
    1 c. chopped celery
    1 (15 oz.) can mandarin oranges, drained
    2 to 3 green onions with tops, chopped, or purple onion rings
    1/2 c. (approximately 2 1/2 oz. pkg.) slivered almonds*
    3 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    * Stir-fry almonds in sugar in a skillet.
    Stir constantly over low heat until coated, glazed and browned.
    Put on wax paper, cool and break apart.
    Store covered.
