Pork Chops And Kraut Bake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 to 8 pork chops (3/4 to 1 inch thick)
    2 Tbsp. drippings
    1 tsp. salt
    1 (29 oz.) can sauerkraut, drained
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    2 medium tart apples, cored and chopped
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1 tsp. caraway seed
Preparation
    Brown chops in drippings in large frying pan. Salt and pepper. Combine kraut, apples, onions, brown sugar and caraway seeds. Place in a 13 x 9-inch baking dish. Place chops on sauerkraut mixture. Cover tightly with foil and bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes. Uncover and continue baking 15 minutes or until chops are done. Serve with mashed potatoes.
