Bran Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. boiling water
    1 c. Bran Buds (brand name)
    1/2 c. margarine or butter
    1 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs
    2 c. buttermilk
    2 c. flour
    1 c. oatmeal
    small can crushed pineapple, drained (optional)
    2 1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla or almond flavoring
    2 c. 100% bran cereal (All-Bran)
    3/4 c. raisins (optional)
    3/4 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Pour boiling water over Bran Buds.
    Set aside.
    Cream margarine and sugars for 2 minutes. Add eggs.
    Continue mixing for 30 seconds.
    Add buttermilk and continue mixing for 1 minute. Scrape bowl.
