Beefy Mexicali Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 1/2 c. water
    1 lb. lean hamburger meat
    salt and pepper to taste
    2 pkg. rice and sauce mix (Spanish)
    1 (4 oz.) can chopped green chillies
    1 c. (8 oz.) shredded (I use mild) Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    In large skillet or electric frying pan, bring water to a boil.
    Stir in remaining ingredients, except cheese, breaking up the meat into small pieces.
    Reduce heat; cover dish and simmer, stirring occasionally, cook 12 minutes or until rice is tender and most liquid is absorbed.
    Top with cheese; cover and let stand 2 minutes or until cheese is melted.
