Apple Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 c. shortening
    1 egg
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 c. chopped apples
    1 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening until fluffy.
    Beat in egg.
    Sift dry ingredients in a separate bowl.
    Add to shortening mixture and stir well.
    Add chopped apples.
    Batter will be stiff.
    Put in greased loaf pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1/2 hour or until golden brown.
