Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. self-rising flour
1/8 tsp. baking powder
1 Tbsp. sugar
3/4 c. shortening
1 c. buttermilk
1 Tbsp. margarine, melted
Preparation

Combine first three ingredients in a large bowl.
Cut in shortening with a pastry cutter until shortening is the size of peas.
Add buttermilk, stirring until moistened.
Dough will resemble cottage cheese, but sticky.
Turn dough out onto a floured surface and knead 4 or 5 times.
