Chocolate Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 eggs, separated
    1/2 c. milk
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 heaping Tbsp. flour
    1/2 c. white can syrup
    1/4 c. cocoa
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 baked pie shell
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/4 c. sugar
Preparation
    Beat egg yolks slightly; add milk.
    Mix sugar and flour together.
    Stir into egg mixture.
    Blend in syrup.
    Combine cocoa with enough water to make thin paste.
    Stir into egg mixture.
    Add butter.
    Cook in double boiler or microwave until thick, stirring frequently.
    Pour into shell.
