Joyce Clark'S 24 Hour Lettuce-Pea Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lettuce head
    1 green pepper
    1/2 c. celery and green onions
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas
    2 c. mayonnaise
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 c. American cheese, shredded
    10 pieces bacon
Preparation
    Cook peas and let cool. Cut lettuce head up into large bowl. Add a layer of green pepper, celery and onions. After peas have cooled, add a layer of peas over the
    onions.
    Spread mayonnaise layer. Sprinkle the sugar over the mayonnaise.
    Add cheese layer and then bacon layer.
    Stir before serving.
