Grandma'S Chicken Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. bread stuffing
    1 c. water
    1 stick oleo
    2 1/2 c. cooked chicken, cut in pieces
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/4 c. chopped green onion tops or chives
    1/2 c. celery, chopped
    1/2 c. mayonnaise
    3/4 tsp. salt
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 c. milk
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1 pkg. grated American cheese
Preparation
    Mix together stuffing, water and oleo.
    Spread 1/2 in buttered 9 x 12-inch baking dish, then mix chicken, onions, celery, mayonnaise and salt.
    Place in baking dish on top of stuffing mixture, then top with remaining 1/2 of mixture.
    Beat eggs and milk and pour over bread mixture.
    Cover with foil and refrigerate overnight.
