Sugar Drop Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. butter or oleo
3/4 tsp. salt
1 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 Tbsp. milk
2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. grated lemon rind

Preparation

Cream butter and sugar; beat in eggs and milk.
Mix and sift the flour, baking powder, soda, salt and nutmeg with lemon rind. Add to creamed mixture.
Drop dough by spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets.
Bake about 10 minutes in a 375\u00b0 oven.
May place raisins or M&M's in center of cookie before baking.
You can also put a dab of jelly on cookies and cover with a teaspoon of dough; then bake.
Remove at once from pan and cool on rack.
