Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (9 inch) pie shell, baked
    fresh strawberries, sliced in half
    1 c. strawberries, mashed
    3/4 c. sugar
    3/4 c. water
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 tsp. lemon juice
    whipped cream
Preparation
    Fill baked pie shell with fresh strawberries sliced in half. Mix water and cornstarch together.
    Cook mashed strawberries and sugar.
    Slowly add the cornstarch mixture to mashed strawberries and cook until thick.
    Add lemon juice.
    While still hot, pour over strawberries in pie shell.
    Chill and top with whipped cream.
