Tea Cake Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. margarine
    2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. soda
    2 tsp. baking powder
    3 to 4 c. flour
Preparation
    Cream margarine.
    Gradually add sugar; beating after each addition.
    Add eggs, beating after each.
    Add buttermilk and vanilla.
    Stir well.
    Sift soda, baking powder and 1 cup flour together and gradually add to butter mixture, blending well.
    Add more flour, a little at a time, until dough is stiff enough to handle.
    Cover dough and chill 2 hours.
