Raisin Puffs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. raisins
    1 c. water
    1 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 eggs, beaten
    3 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Boil water and raisins until water is gone; cool.
    Cream the shortening and sugar.
    Sift flour, soda and salt and add to creamed mixture.
    Add vanilla and cooled raisins; mix well.
    Wet hands.
    Form dough into balls and roll in sugar.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 until brown.
    Yields 7 dozen.
