Oyster Stew - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
dash of bottled hot pepper sauce
1 pt. shucked oysters (undrained)
1/2 c. butter or margarine
1 pt. half and half milk and 1 pt. regular milk, added together and scalded
Preparation

Blend flour, seasonings and 2 tablespoons water in a 3-quart soup kettle.
Add undrained oysters and butter; simmer over very low heat for 3 to 4 minutes, until edges of oysters curl, stirring gently.
Add scalded or hot milk; remove from heat and cover.
Let stand 15 minutes.
Reheat briefly.
Top servings with pats of butter.
Serves 4 or 5.
