Grandmama'S Chow Chow - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 hot peppers finely chopped
    12 green sweet peppers, chopped
    12 red sweet peppers, chopped
    12 small onions, chopped
    1 lb. cabbage shredded
    2 qt. green tomatoes
    3 qt. vinegar
    5 c. sugar
    1/2 c. salt
    1 box pickle seasoning
Preparation
    Mix tomatoes, onions, peppers, cabbage, and salt together and let stand overnight.
    Next day, drain out all possible juice.
    Mix the sugar, vinegar and spices (put spices in a small cloth bag). Pour over tomato mixture.
    Cook until well done, about 30 to 45 minutes or until thick.
    Put in jars and seal.
