Old Time Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 slices buttered toast, cut in quarters (substitute biscuits if desired)
    1/3 c. seedless raisins
    2 eggs, slightly beaten
    5 tsp. sugar, divided
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 c. milk
    1 c. boiling water
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Place buttered bread in a greased 1 1/2-quart casserole. Sprinkle with raisins. Combine 4 teaspoons sugar, salt, milk, water and vanilla. Pour over bread and let stand 10 minutes. Sprinkle with cinnamon and remaining sugar. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
