Jelled Waldorf Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 pkg. (4-serving size) lemon flavor gelatin
    1 1/2 c. boiling water
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 c. cold water
    ice cubes
    1/2 c. mayonnaise or salad dressing
    1 1/2 c. diced, unpeeled red apples
    3/4 c. diced celery
    1/4 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Dissolve gelatin in boiling water; add lemon juice.
    Combine cold water and ice to make 2 cups.
    Add to gelatin, stirring until slightly thickened.
    Remove unmelted ice.
    Whisk in mayonnaise. Chill until thickened.
    Fold in apples, celery and nuts.
    Pour into 5-cup mold which has been sprayed with nonstick cooking spray.
    Chill until firm (about 4 hours).
    Unmold.
    Makes 10 servings.
