Red Hot Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 lb. large cucumbers
    1 c. lime
    3 c. vinegar
    1 small bottle red food coloring
    1 Tbsp. alum
    2 c. water
    10 c. sugar
    8 sticks cinnamon
    1 pkg. red hot candy
Preparation
    Wash cucumbers and pack in a large container that can be covered.
    Cover cucumbers with vinegar and cover container and set aside for 6 weeks.
    After 6 weeks pour off vinegar and slice or cut up cucumbers.
