Country Raisin Gingersnaps - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1/4 c. molasses
    2 1/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. cloves
    1 1/2 c. raisins
Preparation
    Cream together shortening and sugar; beat in eggs and molasses.
    Sift together flour, soda, salt and spices.
    Add to mixture.
    Stir in raisins.
    Chill dough for 1/2 hour.
    Roll dough into 1-inch balls and roll in sugar.
    Place 2-inches apart on greased cookie sheets.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
