Old Fashioned Butterscotch Meringue Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 baked pie shell
3/4 c. packed brown sugar
1/3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. skim milk
3 egg whites
3 Tbsp. margarine
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. maple flavoring
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
6 Tbsp. sugar
3 egg substitutes
Preparation

Combine brown sugar, flour and salt in medium size saucepan; gradually stir in milk.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a boil and is thickened.
Boil 1 minute; remove from heat.
Slowly stir into egg substitutes, about 1/2 cup of hot mixture; slowly stir back into remaining mixture in saucepan.
Cook, stirring constantly, over low heat, 2 minutes.
Remove from heat.
Stir in margarine, vanilla and maple flavoring; pour into pie shell.
