Hungarian Sunday Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (3 lb.) beef roast
    5 whole carrots, peeled
    2 onions, quartered
    1/4 head cabbage
    2 parsnips, peeled
    4 stalks celery, quartered
    5 sprigs parsley
    1/2 green pepper
    1 can tomatoes
    1/4 c. catsup
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    whole potatoes (as many as needed)
    Mrs. Weiss' Kluski noodles, cooked separately per directions
Preparation
    Put all ingredients, except potatoes and noodles, into large soup kettle.
    Bring to a boil and lower heat so soup bubbles gently.
    Cover and cook 3 hours.
    Add whole potatoes and cook 1 hour more.
    Serve broth over noodles.
