Fruit Cocktail Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 c. flour
    3/4 tsp. soda
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. nuts
    1/4 tsp. baking powder
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 (No. 303) can fruit cocktail, drain and reserve juice
Preparation
    Sift together flour, soda, baking powder and salt.
    Beat together sugar and egg.
    Alternate adding fruit cocktail juice and fold in fruit.
    Bake in ungreased pan.
    Mix together 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1/2 cup nuts.
    Place on top of mixture.
    Bake until done.
