Adline'S Cream Of Tomato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 Tbsp. chopped onion
2 c. canned tomatoes
1 1/2 c. water
1/2 tsp. soda
4 Tbsp. butter
4 Tbsp. flour
2 c. milk
salt and pepper

Preparation

Cook together onion, tomatoes and water.
Strain, if desired. Add soda.
Make a white sauce of rest of ingredients.
Add tomato mixture to white sauce, not white sauce to tomatoes.
