Ingredients

1 can berries or cherries
1 c. sugar
1 c. flour
pinch of salt
1 tsp. baking powder
2 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation

Bring berries or cherries and 1 cup of sugar to a slow boil. Sift dry ingredients; add a small lump of butter and enough milk to make a sticky dough.
Drop by spoon in cherry or berry and sugar mixture.
Cover and cook slowly, about 15 minutes.
