Ingredients

1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. suet, ground
1 egg, well beaten
2/3 c. milk
1 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/2 c. bread crumbs
1/2 c. raisins
1/2 c. figs
Preparation

Combine sugar, suet, egg and milk.
Sift flour, salt, baking powder, cinnamon, cloves and ginger, stirring gradually.
Add bread crumbs, raisins and figs; mix well.
Pour into buttered baking dish.
Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until done.
