Coconut Cake(Basic 1-2-3-4 Cake) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter (2 sticks)
    2 c. sugar
    3 c. plain flour, sifted
    4 eggs
    3 level tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. buttermilk and 1/2 c. water, mixed together (the secret)
Preparation
    Mix by creaming the butter and sugar and adding eggs, one at a time.
    Stir in dry ingredients alternately with liquid (about 3 additions each).
    Never overbeat.
    Hand stirring is better in this last step.
    Bake in 3 round pans at 375\u00b0 for about 20 minutes, only until firm.
    Cool on rack and put together with filling.
